Warambul First Nations Supporter Ball
Proudly created by Gamilaroi and Wiradjuri man Sean Kinchela, this limited edition Steeden ball features original artwork titled “Warambul” — Emu in the Sky.
Every April-May, Warambul becomes visible in the night sky — a signal to First Nations peoples that emu egg laying season had begun, and time to search for the nests. Sean’s artwork brings this story to life, connecting the game of rugby league to the rich culture and traditions of Australia’s First Nations peoples.
A ball to be proud of, on and off the field.
From the artist
"Every April-May, Warambul or Emu in the sky, becomes visible in the night sky. This was a clear indicator to the first nations peoples that it was emu egg laying session, and they would start to look for the nests."
